File a Discrimination Claim
You must file a claim with the appropriate City, State or Federal agency in a timely manner. Failure to do so may prevent you from pursing a claim in a court of law. Completing this form does not constitute filing an official complaint with a legal authority. At this time, Seattle King County NAACP is only seeking information to assist you concerning this complaint.
The Seattle King County NAACP is not a law firm, does not have a staff of attorneys and does not give legal advice. At the most we can investigate your complaint and/or refer you to the proper agency/authority/attorney to handle your complaint. We recommend the following link from the WA State Bar Association to get started on finding an attorney: https://www.wsba.org/for-the-public/find-legal-help/covid-19-legal-resources
We also recommend contacting Loren Miller Bar Association: HOME | LMBA
We do not take complaints over the phone or without the completed complaint form. We will only investigate or make referrals for complaints that are for violations within our purview - civil and human rights violations or discriminatory in nature in keeping with our mission statement:
Please be advised that filing a discrimination complaint with the NAACP does not mean that the NAACP Seattle King County Branch will be representing you in any legal matter.
Completed form should be marked "Confidential" and mailed to:
Seattle King County NAACP
PO Box 22148
Seattle, WA 98122
or email the completed form to vicepresident1@seattlekingcountynaacp.org
